CITIES - sculptures and land art

Terneuzen

Terneuzen - Zeeuws Vlaanderen NL - his site specific sculptures ordered for the city of Terneuzen in Zeeland
an exterior room within the pollard willows ellipse - 1980|1984 - willows (Salix Alba) - GAB Terneuzen NL

Every three to four years, before the willows are coppiced, their foliage forms a canopy enclosing the exterior entrance area, like an outside room. In this way I tried to soften the contrast between the interior reception area and the public space next to the road.
