Penttilä gardens became the new home of the den Arend family in the spring of 2003

Lucien den Arend works here and has installed building an open air exhibition of his monumental works - most of which have been in Kajaani Finland since 1995 - here they will give an overview of his sculpture in a natural setting - visitors are welcome - he also conducts summer workshops in painting and drawing

There are various cottages and studios on the grounds - they are available to artists as well as visitors who just want to find a peaceful retreat in the sunniest corner of Scandinavia - ask about the possibilities to spend a vacation at Penttilä or attend a summer workshop in painting and drawing - or both.
