"In everything which is built outside the snow factor is very important to take into account. With sculpture this means the accepting of the snow building up around the sculpture. One could put a work like this one on two mounds; but who is to say at what height the mounds will match the snow level. It will never be perfect. So the best thing to do, I think, is to do is to just install it right for the situation which will prevail for the longest period. Even in Lapland that is the summer. Here the snow layer is still thin."
