ARCHITECTURAL SCULPTURES and PROJECTS
Grote Kerk tower project

English    Nederlands

The Grotekerkstoren project and the Saint Andreas (St. Adrew) Cross as the new top.
1987-88 the tower project, Dordrecht NL - the Grotekerkstoren project and the St. Andreas (Saint Andrew) Cross as the new top.

This sketch seems like a rather Spartan depiction of what I envision in my serious proposal for the finishing touch for the tower of the great Church of Dordrecht. It could be the conclusion of the initial objective to build a tower which was to be a symbol in the landscape around the city with predominately low buildings. This is my opening statement. If ever I would be given the opportunity to make an extensive study of the possibilities, more options would open. The sketches on the next pages show different views of this concept.
