Hazerswoude Dorp

When Lucien den Arend presented this proposal, the mayor and aldermen were very enthusiastic and decided to present it to the shopkeepers. Before this meeting the shopkeepers decided not to listen to the presentation and sabotaged the meeting by not giving the sculptor a chance to utter a word. Their spokesman presented the shopkeepers hysteria in the form of a filibuster - thus the never presented proposal was rejected - and the town decided to have the sculptor make a new proposal.
