SCULPTOR AT WORK

Gemini tango sculpture and its sculptor lunching
Having lunch with Gemini tango which had just been assembled - Zwijndrecht, Holland

It can be very satisfying when thing go as you wanted them to go. Though usually I worry before a sculpture is finished. In the case of Gemini tango I saw, during one inspection, that they were assembling the sculpture from the bottom up - hoping, as I would think, that it will all come together alright when they reach the top. I would have assembled the two identical halves halves first, and then assemble them. Then you would be certain the line would be right from the hem to the top. But, the technical guys happened to know what they were doing, and it became as I had hoped.
