Land Art 2000-2002

Land art in Walburg - protecting the shoreline by baiding fascine fencing.
Land art - Walburg/Volgerlanden projects merged- The craftsmen are braiding a fascine fence to protect the embankment against erosion.

The top layer is clay-soil, under which there is a thick layer of peat. As there are pumping stations at the ends of the waterways along the rivers the same polder level is maintained by them. The volume of the peat is regulated by the amount of water is holds.
