Land Art 2000-2002

Land art in Walburg - protecting the shoreline by baiding fascine fencing.
Land art - Walburg/Volgerlanden projects merged - the raided a fascine fence to protect the embankment against erosion.

The former fields, where vegetables have been grown for ages, were excavated to create a reservoir - saving the marked cross-shaped island as I had designed it. The reservoir is connected to other waterways in order to regulate the groundwater level (called polderpeil = polder level).
