Highway art - art in the road environment
highway A15 yellow triangle

The section of the highway east of Tiel is even more open that the preceding stretch. I decided to introduce a conspicuous geometric shape - in this case a yellow (RAL 2002) triangle, which contradicts everything else in the landscape. But that's not all; it will be outfitted with a trailing gun-sight which locks onto the first vehicle in its line of sight. As the selected vehicle continues its journey the triangle rotates on a turntable following the vehicle's movement. One would expect that its side should become visible on driving by it, but this does not happen; the shape of the triangle remains constant. One wonders if it could be a cone - but that is three-dimensional and should have a light- and shadow side. Other motorists see this phenomenon, while it is in action. After the specific car is out of the triangle's view, it rotates back to catch the next subject of its attention. The height of the triangle should be about ten meters high, so that it can be installed between one and two-hundred meters from the roadside.
