The table and chair evolved from my
Rotterdam sculpture homage to Oud
and van Doesburg.
I made the sketches and drawings as part of my proposal
commissioned by the town for
Suvantorannan
puisto (Suvanto Shore Park). This proposal was put before a
public vote between it and a traditional park design by the town's
planning department. The latter got the most votes because it looked
more like what the public expects of a park. Nevertheless it was partly
inspired by elements in my design.
Heikki's choice is an exhibition highlighting the art museum's collection, compiled by Heikki Aranne; he served as the director of the Kajaani Art Museum from 1997-2015. He has selected the works in the exhibition from the art museum's collection.
