Land art and site specific sculpture in the urban setting. Environmental sculpture is an art form which uses the environment as its material. Concrete art is, like any art form, human made and is therefore geometric in essence. Public art is art which can be viewed and accessed by the public.

2010−2020

'Perpendicular section' - liberated stones series.
2013 - perpendicular section - liberated stones series - 300x300x180mm.

When cut from the bottom up - perpendicular to- and touching the first cut, the flow will be forced to circulate around the sawn perpendicular planes. The interior of the stone will have become a maze. When I told colleague sculptor Adri Verhoeven about my latest plans, he remarked "the stones will bleed dry (dan lopen ze leeg)". A very true remark: his stones are nuclei - all about containment and restraint.
