Land art and site specific sculpture in the urban setting. Environmental sculpture is an art form which uses the environment as its material. Concrete art is, like any art form, human made and is therefore geometric in essence. Public art is art which can be viewed and accessed by the public.

Françoise

The original title pc3f (perpendicular cylinders 3 flat) was changed to Françoise as a tribute to Françoise van den Bosch a sculptor colleague of mine who died too early at the age of 33 in 1977. She had taken a particular liking to the models for this work. Our friendship and mutual respect for each other's work did not have enough time to mature.

In this photograph Françoise is shown in the gardens of the Municipal Museum of The Hague Holland. The sculpture was on loan to the museum for ten years (1978-1988) together with monolinear planes, junction. After the sculpture was on loan to the city of Kajaani Finland (1995-2006), it is now exhibited in my sculpture garden, POAM.
