LAND ARTpollarded willows and geometry![]() Pollarding will often expose the tree to the natural elements. Once they split, pollarded willows will have lost their natural structure and their growth will tend to open them up more. Regular pollarding will minimize the weight of the branches which will, if left to grow to long, tear the tree apart. My artistic intervention will not heal a tree but is meant to focus on the peculiar, organic shape of such a tree by contrasting it with elementary geometric shapes. other land art projects |
