EXHIBITIONS 2000 | 2010 Keukenhof sculpture in Lisse Holland

The main objective of the Keukenhof is to present and promote everything pertaining to gardens and in particular the flowering plants. The area where Lisse and the Keukenhof are located, in the province of North Holland, is renowned for the tulip fields.

Until recently a number artists have been somewhat reluctant towards showing their work in relation to such a commercial enterprise. But however you look at it, tens of thousands of people from all over the world visit the exhibitions - and that is an enormous opportunity for sculptors to show their work to a broad international public.

The support of Queen Beatrix adds to the importance of sculpture as well as art in general within this fortress of the flower bulb industry.
