SCULPTURES UNDER CONSTRUCTION

construction of steel sculpture near Rotterdam for the arch over the road at Rhoon, Albrandswaard in Holland
poort van Rhoon - 2010 - construction of a monumental steel sculpture for Rhoon, Albrandswaard in Holland

"In the summer of 2010 the sculpture will be installed at one of the entrances to the sports park." I wrote in 2009. But firstly the mayor and his aldermen were formally obliged to notify the inhabitants on the other side of the bicycle paths, the asphalt road and the waterways - behind the mature trees.

So on March the 8th, 2010 I was invited to give a presentation to the people, who would not be able to see may sculpture from their houses. If drove to Helsinki, flew to Amsterdam where I stayed with my colleague, Roland de Jong-Orlando and took the train to Rotterdam on the day of the meeting.
