SCULPTURES UNDER CONSTRUCTION

construction of steel sculpture near Rotterdam for the arch over the road at Rhoon, Albrandswaard in Holland
poort van Rhoon - 2010 - construction of a monumental steel sculpture for Rhoon, Albrandswaard in Holland

The wetland area is a place to walk and enjoy the varied views across the waterways and ponds. Crossing the footbridge one would pass under the arches of the sculpture. But everything went differently from what I was meant to believe; one of the people who had received the notification from the municipality went from door to door and motivated the people to come to the meeting and refuse to cooperate or accept this plan.

And as new elections were nearing, the mayor and aldermen postponed the decision in order not to lose votes. So the parts of the sculpture remained where they had been deposited next to the dike.
