Below Sequoia National Park, near Three Rivers, the Kings River flows between green pastures and oak (Quercus chrysolepis and Quercus wislizenii). The Sierra Nevada Mountains, in the background, are covered with clouds which provide the necessary daily moisture for the Giant Sequoia to survive.
