CITIES - sculptures and land art
Zwijndrecht
The actual start of this sculpture was my experimentation with the contour of a hole when it is twisted, stretching the surface of the surrounding material. I was interested in what happens when you twist a ring inside a larger one, with a rubber-like material stretched between the two. The resulting surface resembles the shape of a saddle, or that of a propeller.
