CITIES - sculptures and land art

Vaasa

The city of Vaasa, Finland commissioned Lucien den Arend to make a sculpture for Onkilahti (Fisherman's bay) Park. He worked on the designs in 1997 and 1998. In February of 1999 the work, called Veera, was unveiled by the deputy mayor.

The reflection in the bay constructs a square opening with two circumscribed half elliptical shapes.
