Land art and site specific sculpture - land art uses the environment and its scale as its material. Concrete art is expressed in material itself with which the artist introduces her non-representational objective. Public art can be viewed and accessed by observers.

SCULPTURES UNDER CONSTRUCTION - URBAN LAND ART

1969-1970 - The edges of the plots of grass were made from Ashlar curbstones from the historical center of Dordrecht.

 

The construction of this piece of urban land art had all the hardships one could think of (Murphy's law). As my first project of this scope it taught me a lot. So many things went wrong that even after the retirement of Jongeneel the L-shaped fields remained.
