Land art and site specific sculpture in the urban setting. Environmental sculpture is an art form which uses the environment as its material. Concrete art is, like any art form, human made and is therefore geometric in essence. Public art is art which can be viewed and accessed by the public.

"Homage to El Lissitzky

1984-1986
Lelystad, Netherlands

Homage to El Lissitzky is an earthwork located on the test circuit of the Dutch transport centre, an area reclaimed from the sea and drained. The designer was able to make use of 17,000 cubic metres of leftover earth to create this crescent, whose summit rises to the maximum height permitted by the amount of earth available. The idea of the project is taken from Land Art, the concept of a simple geometric figure identifying a space."
