Land art and site specific sculpture in the urban setting. Environmental sculpture is an art form which uses the environment as its material. Concrete art is, like any art form, human made and is therefore geometric in essence. Public art is art which can be viewed and accessed by the public.

Lucien den Arend working on the plaster model for a bronze sculpture for the Amsterdam-North Police Station

The late seventies - Nieuwstraat 9-11 Zwijndrecht studio.

It used to be a blacksmith's workshop. Here I am working on the plaster model for Brenda, a bronze sculpture for Amsterdam. Wooden shoes are perfect for messy work and kicking them off when going up for a cup of coffee.
