Ede my site specific sculptures revisited (Lucien den Arend)

to the beginning of the text

The black retaining wall on the south side of the pond has a height of somewhat more than four meters.

Behind the red wall there is a ramp for wheelchair users; this was a kind of sequel. When the project was nearing its initial completion, a lady living in one of the homes bordering the site requested that the disabled should be able to access the quay. The municipality complied and requested me to extend my design in order to make this possible.

Instead of walking around the site and staying on the street level, the more adventurous, or at least inquisitive, pedestrians can descend down the stairs to the quay and walk along the red wall towards the natural stone stairs, at the end of the quay, which ascend behind the wall at that point.
