Land art and site specific sculpture in the urban setting. Environmental sculpture is an art form which uses the environment as its material. Concrete art is, like any art form, human made and is therefore geometric in essence. Public art is art which can be viewed and accessed by the public.

Elliptical willow construction in Kangasniemi, Finland.
An elliptical willow construction in Terneuzen - an urban land art project 1980-1994 - Zeeland, Netherlands.

A few days before the willows were to be removed I whitewashed the trunks from the ground up to 125cm height - the same as that of the focal points. I documented them before this and also photographed them after the whitewashing and coppicing them.

A total view of the coppiced willow ellipse in Terneuzen.
