Land art and site specific sculpture - land art uses the environment and its scale as its material. Concrete art is expressed in material itself with which the artist introduces her non-representational objective. Public art can be viewed and accessed by observers.

LAND ART

land art project Urban Oasis

Dutch urban LAND ART in Ede - 'Urban Oasis' - Bald Cypress trees (Taxodium Distichum), water, concrete and color.

At the end of the row of Swamp Cypress trees, a fountain represents a virtual last tree. Concentric waves give relief to the water surface and accentuatie this spot. Actually the fountain should be a bubbling well - a subtle movenent of the water, producing the same concentric circles. But public works people like a high geyser I suppose.
