2010 - the Saenredam Island Project model at Muutos - Mikkelin Taiteilijaseura  Mikkeli Museum of Art - Mikkeli, Finland

These four willows were removed from the center of the Saenredam Island when the stainless steel central object was installed in 1997. These were part of the grid consisting of 256 willows. The central object had been planned from 1985 until 1997 when the willows were painted white for the first time - eight times per century the willows are painted white to commemorate the birth date of Pieter Janszoon Saenredam, after whom the project had been named. In 1997 Saenredam was born 400 years before.
