CITIES - sculptures and land art

Spijkenisse

This view does not show the change that has taken place in Spijkenisse since the turn of the millennium.

Spijkenisse Holland - pink sculpture site specific and public sculpture) in Spijkenisse.

1983-86 - coated steel - 2.2.3D - Ø50cm 2400x550x697cm - Groenekruisweg/Sportlaan, Spijkenisse NL

My sculpture has been on this site for more than twenty five years, it was this year that the location around the sculpture was ready after a year of turmoil. The football fields in back of the poplar trees which acted as a barrier between the roads-and-sculpture and the fields, have disappeared and with the introduction of a shopping center the site was totally changed.
