Papendrecht
Site specific sculpture is usually made specifically for a given location - a site. This specific sculpture was made for the new situation of the city hall of Zwijndrecht, Holland. The sculpture was scaled to the location and complemented the Delft School architecture of the old town hall. In 2008 this old town hall was preserved and restored to its original specifications, and the 'new' additions, which did not respect the delicate old building, were removed. Separated from the historic building, a new city hall was built which complements the older building.
