arch - 1988/present - steel - Ø50 1250x1250x1250cm -  proposal for the intersection Binckhorstlaan/Mercuriusweg and Neherkade in The Hague NL

In 1988 Lucien den Arend was selected from three proposals by three sculptors to execute his arch proposal for the intersection Binckhorstlaan/Mercuriusweg and Neherkade in The Hague NL. The construction consisted of three parts - the two 12.5 meter radius arches and the connecting angle. The sculpture's parts are now stored and waiting for an interested party which would like to become the new owner who will install it in cooperation with the sculptor.
