CITIES - sculptures and land art

Baarn

The group of three oaks near the hillock in the pasture evokes Rembrandt's etching three trees of 1643. These were also oaks, but stood near Haarlem. The trajectory of the array of willows leads the eye towards this spot.

proposal01 Baarn - trajectory for Rembrandt, three trees (oaks) - gardens of the Groeneveld Castle Netherands and the environmental sculptures of Lucien den Arend - his environmental tree sculpture on the estate of Kasteel Groeneveld in Baarn - site specific art

trajectory for Rembrandt - 2002 - curvature length 250m - 100 Salix Alba (white willow) branches and three oaks (before painting the tops of the willows white)
