CITIES - sculptures and land art

Kemijärvi

The monumental size as well as the elementary geometric shape of the sculpture sets it apart from surrounding objects - in this case the trees which could otherwise disturb the viewing of the sculpture from behind them. The row of birch trees act as bars accentuating the melody which the curves suggest in the space.
