CITIES - sculptures and land art

EL PASO

A site specific sculpture for UTEP - the University of Texas in El Paso, Texas. Site specific sculpture at night.
Sculpture for the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) roundabout in El Paso - photomontage © Lucien den Arend.

At night the sculpture would be lit by recessed light fixtures. The ground stainless steel pipe construction would reflect the light and appear to be light itself.

The university selection committee for this project chose for an enlarged logo of the university - a large pick axe, stuck into the ground.
