CITIES - sculptures and land art

Katwijk aan Zee

sculpture in Katwijk aan Zee Holland - sculptures (site specific and public sculpture) in cities in Europe and America by Lucien den Arend - his site specific sculptures in the city of Katwijk aan Zee
1988 - surf - stainless steel - 450x260x450cm - entrance area public swimming pool - Katwijk aan Zee NL

In 2020 the swimming pool complex Aquamar was renovated and the sculpture had to be made again because in de past decades it had been damaged and repaired badly. New gardens inspired by a dune landscape had been designed around the building. A new location about 20 meters east of the original one was found.
