For me the location is very interesting – being only a few hundred yards from the border with Mexico. What is also an interesting factor is the metroplex of which El Paso is the smaller part – two cities forming one metropolitan area, divided by a border and so different.

In choosing a form for the sculpture on this location I was able to combine my idiom with symbolic connotations.
