The water was to go around the segment. At its center there would be a connection to the old park in the form of a concrete plateau on a higher level. Upon entering the park one would descend a few steps onto a square, the Piazza. The Piazza to be flanked on both sides by two colonnades of pine trees, planted in a strict grid. This grid would become less rigid into the randomly planted trees in the forest behind the colonnade.
Along the wide promenade two rows of birch trees flank the land side. They too follow a strict grid and give an urban, classical flavor to the park - just like the Piazza. Behind the colonnades the birch and pine trees mix at random. At both ends of the promenade red closing walls project into the water.
