SCULPTURES UNDER CONSTRUCTION - URBAN LAND ART

Here I am making the model for the acrylic water columns in my studio in Zwijndrecht.
1969-1970 - Testing the acrylic water columns.

 

The shape of the acrylic water columns is the same as the plaster model which I had made. The Plexiglas sheets which were modeled over the plaster form were assembled so that the bulge would be at different heights from the water surface. I liked the idea that they were all identical while being differentiated shapes in totality.
