SCULPTURES UNDER CONSTRUCTION - URBAN LAND ART

Here I am making the model for the acrylic water columns in my studio in Zwijndrecht.
1969-1970 - A test run of the fountain before the acrylic columns are to be mounted.

 

Even though in my proposal I stated that the concrete slab must be perfectly horizontal for obvious reasons, the contractor poured it at a slight angle sloping toward the lava field. The concrete had hardened when i learned of this. Thus a raised edge had to be made so that all four edged would be level.
