SCULPTURES UNDER CONSTRUCTION - URBAN LAND ART

Workers making the grass planes on the lava field.
1969-1970 - The undulating lava-rock field has the fountain element on one side of the garden and areas of grass as the opposite side.

Here we are changing the original plan for three parallel fields of grass. Originally my proposal had three rectangular fields of grass, two by six meters long each. Each field with an espalier lime tree, facing it on the left in the picture. But within days after the fields were made the director, Dirk Jongeneel, forced me to change this layout to anything but three rectangles.
