ARCHITECTURAL SCULPTURES and PROJECTS
Grote Kerk tower project

English    Nederlands

The wings of the Cross of Andreas resemble the casques or gold squares.
1987-88 Grote Kerk tower project, Dordrecht NL.

This sketch shows how the monumental Andreas Cross fits within the diagonal spaces between the stone clock structures. The roof, which is in the central space, between the clocks now, can be taken up within the cross. On the other hand: the interior of the cross could be a space from which to observe the surroundings. The material from which the cross is to be constructed will have to be studied.
