the red wall

Walls in land art and other environmental sculpture

The red wall complements the urban oasis in Ede, the Netherlands.
The red wall and I.

The red color of the long wall reflects in the water, bringing the complementary color closer to the green of the grasses and the foliage of the Swamp Cypresses. Here I inspect the row of trees, which forms a green wall opposite to the red one. In the autumn the foliage of the Swamp Cypress turns a reddish brown. In this way the trees temporarily seem to give in to the influence of the red wall.
