Participating Land Artists in Alzey-Weinheim -
Lucien den Arend

Lucien den Arend at work in the Alzey-Weinheim land Art Symposium.
In time Der Ring will contrast with the low horizontal crosshatched vineyards.

As one can see from an airplane, the only forested areas are usually in the lower lying areas, between the vineyards, around where the rainwater forms temporary streams. These have random shapes - resulting from the terrain and non-productive areas. The Land Art project Der Ring will, to the contrary, be a distinct form, distinguishing itself from the other organic shapes of forested patches between the cross-hatched landscape of the vineyards, and after some years this patch of trees will take its place between the geometry of the vineyards and the natural shapes filling the gaps.
