I founded the Pieter Janszoon Saenredam Foundation to ensure that my plans for the project will always be followed. On of the tasks of the foundation is to see to it that the willows are pollarded every three years.

Here the trees have been whitewashed to evoke the white interiors of the Dutch church interiors which Saenredam had so often chosen as his subject.
