Dirksland | my site specific sculptures revisited

1984|1990 parallel rows of poplar trees (time lapse) - bridge and proposals for artistic details for Highway S47 (now N215) around Dirksland and Middelharnis, Provincial Department of Construction of the Province of Zuid-Holland NL.

Poplar trees grow comparatively fast. So as a sculptor who works with growing material, it is gratifying to be able to see the results within a lifetime. Swamp Cypresses in my urban oasis project in Ede, The Netherlands, have also grown very well since I planted them in 1990

Time lapse is a site specific environmental sculpture made up of poplar screens in Dirksland - land art in Dirksland, Holland and environments by Lucien den Arend - his site specific sculptures and environmental sculptures.
