Land art and site specific sculpture in the urban setting. Environmental sculpture is an art form which uses the environment as its material. Concrete art is, like any art form, human made and is therefore geometric in essence. Public art is art which can be viewed and accessed by the public.

The square where this sculpture is installed is called Oranjeplein (Orange Square). In the center there used to be a bandstand. The housing association commissioned me to make a proposal for art there. Playing around with two tiny identical cone segments, joining them in different ways this was the least contemplated combination of all - maybe too playful I thought. But thinking about the bandstand with music and dancing it became evident that this variant was quite to the point. Why not? So I named it Gemini tango and gave it a fitting color: "oranje", RAL 2002 blutorange is the name. There may also be a reference to the House of Orange.
