SCULPTURES 2000−2010
This is the situation when victory was installed in Zaanstad NL for fifteen years) - previously installed in Koog aan de Zaan in the Dutch town of Zaanstad - The Netherlands (1984-2000) - its mayor R. Vreeman decided to comply with a ten year old petition drawn up by a citizen who didn't like the sculpture.
The mayor manipulated the situation to such a extent that the sculpture was dismounted and stored; studies were made to relocate this work along the TGV-line (Train à Grande Vitesse, the French high speed train) which will pass through Holland on its way to Amsterdam - near Bleiswijk in the province of South Holland it will run above the ground. The TGV/HSL line location in Bleiswijk Holland has been studied as the new location for victory.
