Linear Sculpture - Sculpture in Lines

Monolinear was my first hand-shaped linear sculpture. The stainless steel pipe segments were filled with resin and shaped by hand - that is, two men holding the pipe under a hydraulic press and fitting it on the copper tube which I had shaped to size. The sculpture is six meters wide, and could only be transported horizontally during the night when there is the least traffic in Rotterdam.

Monolinear - installed in the inner garden.
Monolinear - reflected in every glass pane of the surrounding surface.

The lines on the rocks follow their surface in a seemingly random way and contrast with the segments of the sculpture's reflections.

Now the building has been demolished. I have not been notified nor have I been asked what to do with my art work. I expect that the stones and the sculpture went linea-recta to the scrap.
