Linear Sculpture - Sculpture in Lines
During the first half of the seventies I was involved in several proposals for urban land art, or environmental sculpture as I called it at that time. In the Dutch town of Capelle aan den IJssel, next to two schools there was a piece of land which would remain green. next to it there was a reservoir.

Meandering and serpent-like forms draw lines - moving along a self made path on the land and continuing into the reservoir. Water from the reservoir is pumped op through the top of the vertical form where it flows over the edge.
