Linear Sculpture - Sculpture in Lines
After have made various proposals for urban land art projects, the town of Capelle aan den IJssel decided not to proceed because the land had been sold to a project developer. Instead they asked me to make a proposal for a sculpture along the street, at the entrance to both schools.

This purely linear sculpture evolved from solid sculptures, like monolinear biplane, with the shape of the surface of a saddle. The lemniscate-like edge of these works fascinated me and I moved on towards translating these linear movements into material. Stainless steel pipe lends itself perfectly to achieving my goals.
