EXHIBITIONS 2000 | 2010 Keukenhof sculpture in Lisse Holland

the opening with queen Beatrix

Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands opens de Keukenhof sculpture Exhibition 1999 in Lisse Holland

The 1999 opening of the Keukenhof exhibitions was a very special one. On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Keukenhof, the Dutch Queen Beatrix attended the opening. A special sculpture exhibition had been organized which focused on various sculptors who had shown their works on the Keukenhof in the previous years.

Queen Beatrix is an advocate of the arts and is particularly interested in contemporary visual art. She makes time in her busy schedule to do sculpture herself also. Her modesty does not permit her to show her sculpture to the public. But she visits exhibitions whenever and wherever she can and likes to talk to artists.
