Kunstmarkt Veerplein 1967 - Zwijndrecht, Holland.
Art-mart Veerplein - an artmart along the River Oude Maas on the Zwijndrecht Veerplein.

Organizing an art-mart seemed for me a way to realize two goals: one was to give artists the opportunity to manifest their work in this simple down to earth way; the other was to have something happen in one of the most beautiful and regrettably most dreary locations in Holland. The city council had for years already lost its sense of history and direction. The old center was to be demolished because of more or less Ceausescuesque motivations - slash and burn. Art to the rescue was my naive antidote.
